Planning a stand for Tehran’s auto parts fair, December 2026

A build timeline, layouts by stand size and practical ways to display car parts at the 21st auto parts fair in Tehran, plus what a December date changes.

The 21st International Auto Parts Exhibition is listed for 17 to 20 December 2026 at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground. As we write this in mid-October, that is about nine weeks away. Check the dates once more on the organiser’s site before you sign anything, because Tehran shows do move by a few days now and then.

Nine weeks is enough for a proper custom stand if the big decisions are made in the next fortnight. This piece looks at the job from our workshop: what has to be fixed and when, what layout suits each stand size, and how to show car parts so they read from the aisle.

A December show changes the plan

The previous edition ran in late May and early June 2025. Moving to December brings a few practical differences. Days are short, so there are fewer useful working hours in the hall during build-up. Cold weather slows paint and adhesive. We finish all painting in the workshop so that on site we only assemble, wire and light.

Tehran has also had air-pollution closure days in early winter in recent years. If one of those lands on a build day, everything gets squeezed. For this show we keep a spare day in the schedule and aim to have the stand pre-assembled in the workshop a day earlier than usual.

The last day, 20 December, is the eve of Yalda, the longest night of the year and a family evening in Iran. Dismantling usually starts after closing on the final day, and plenty of crews will want to be home. Book your dismantling team and transport now.

Our timeline for this show

  1. By early November: confirmed stand size and position, the hall plan, and a list of products to display. Send weights and dimensions for anything heavy, such as gearboxes or engines.
  2. Around 19 November: design sign-off. We like it about four weeks before opening so the workshop is not rushing.
  3. Late November: drawings to the organiser, power and services ordered. Take the exact deadlines from the organiser’s technical manual, as they change between editions.
  4. Early to mid December: cutting and building in our workshop, print, pre-assembly.
  5. Build-up days: assembly, wiring and product placement only.

Layout by stand size

12 to 18 m². One product wall, an information counter and room for two people to stand. Bring your best-selling ranges and leave the rest to the catalogue. An overfilled shelf looks like a stockroom from three metres away.

36 to 60 m². Split the space: display at the front, a meeting table and a small store at the back. At a parts fair the store matters more than people expect. Samples, cartons and coats need a home, or by day two they end up on the meeting table.

Large and island stands. If you sell to carmakers or run a dealer network, a closed meeting room earns its floor space. Corporate buyers prefer to talk prices away from the aisle. For heavy exhibits, put the plinths in the drawing from day one and ask the organiser about floor loading and forklift access.

Showing parts so buyers stop

Visitors here are manufacturers, carmaker purchasing teams, wholesalers and parts retailers. They know the product and they look for specific things: part numbers, which vehicles a part fits, standards and packaging. What tends to work:

  • Group parts by vehicle or by system (brakes, engine, suspension), with labels people can read.
  • Show the retail packaging next to the part. In a market troubled by counterfeits, resellers want to see your packaging and authenticity marks up close.
  • Set up a part-number lookup point with a screen or tablet. Many conversations start with a code, and a slow answer loses the visitor.
  • Light the shelves, not just the logo. Black plastic and bare metal disappear under general hall lighting.

We cut and build in our own workshop with CNC machines, so shelves and holders can be made to the exact size of your parts. That keeps each piece fixed in place and the stand tidy for four days. We just need sample dimensions before the design is signed off.

Hall notes for Tehran

Halls at the fairground differ in age, ceiling height and column layout. Once you know your hall, ask about the permitted height and column positions before the design goes too far. Our Tehran International Fairground page has the general picture. If you are coming from abroad, our trade fair services in Tehran cover the local side, from drawings to on-site build.

Next step

Send us the hall plan, your stand size and the product list. Within a day or two we will come back with a realistic schedule and a couple of layout options.
